You literally have to beg for days to get any sort of clean gear or just pay for you own. They say they provide PPE when working with things like bleach, literally spraying it in the air, but all the PPE is torn or covered in bleach residue. There is just a revolving door of employees and someone constantly needs training, the employees who've been there for a bit are all really nice but it seems as soon as one person is trained up and becomes friends with everyone (part of the 'family' management tries to push), management just fires them out of nowhere. An employee put in a notice, trained her replacement, and then management fired her two weeks early. They said it wasn't mandatory but it was pressed by management to the point that no one felt they had a choice. Two employees hit their max for extra hours and instead of paying them proper overtime they gave them a bonus *after* they had already made them work more hours with no promise of pay. They made people work overtime before Christmas to meet deadlines and then sketched out on the pay. There is always a narrative that they are trying to convince themselves of and it's quite literally heartbreaking, damaging and traumatic. And it's been happening way before I was ever employed at this company. I'm sure their response is going to be lengthy and they are going to try to convey how everyone else aside from them is wrong, toxic, or negative but in actuality I've been around for long enough to see this happen time and time again with so many individuals. In my opinion it would be best to not support this business in any capacity. I promise you that's all they see you as. But until then, they will utilize every single floor worker like slaves. Period.Ĭome Christmas time, they have abrupt mass lay-offs WITHOUT NOTICE and will find reasons to fire people because they can't afford to employ them. I've told this to upper management and to the owner but they prioritize profits over health. Current employees: if you have shortness of breath or you are throwing up after bleaching, that's a tell-tale sign of chemical poison and lung damage. They don't care that they're damaging the health of future mothers and women's lungs. They don't care about the health of their employees because although they supply certain limited accommodations for this environment, they refuse to get certified or licensed to use these chemicals. They definitely don't have OSHA certification for the chemicals that they require employees to work with. There's always secret powwows and meetings and whisperings between uppers that make things very uncomfortable. There is absolutely no communication from the owner, to upper management, to lower management. There's no training because they get rid of everyone who knows anything. If upper management makes a shipping mistake the GM says that "the customer must be lying" or "UPS must have messed up" but if anyone else makes a shipping mistake, they're reprimanded. They are constantly late on customer orders and employ people so new that they couldn't possibly know how to ship out an order without mistakes. They will take you for every idea and improvement you implement and then drop you like you meant nothing. They will use you and bleed you dry until they find somebody new. You can put your heart and soul into this company and give them all that you have, and all that they ask, but it will never be enough. They put pressure on leaders and then blame those leaders when things don't go their way. The only consistent thing is inconsistencies. They constantly change things in this company and not for the better, which creates a constant imbalance. They have no self-awareness that they as a company might be the problem. Whether you've worked there for 5 years or 2 days, they don't care. That is how little they value any person employed at this place. I've heard many times from uppers that they wanted to "just clean the slate" and fire EVERY employee. It was constantly instilled in me that nothing me or my team was doing was ever good enough. I've been yelled at, with a finger pointed in my face, bullied into changing my demeanor and interactions, was told I needed to "push employees". The owner is surely going to respond with a seemingly professional response about how every decision they've made was with the company in mind etc. Dear prospective employees, I caution you about this company.
